"I dated a frat guy who cheated me" or "my boyfriend lied about his mother's job" is not the premise of the show. Its been more than a year since the second season of groundbreaking true-crime podcast Serial debuted, and as yet theres been no word on a third. I wish she'd taken the time to find more authentic people to interview. Sarah won't know what happens at the end of the story until she gets there, not long before you get there with her. The show follows the plot and characters wherever they lead, through many surprising twists and turns. Serial unfolds one story - a true story - over the course of a whole season. I agree with the other reviewers who said she runs out of source material and tries to make more of situations than they are. Serial is a podcast from Serial Productions, a New York Times company, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Crazy ex-girlfriends are far too often dismissed because of gender.

I would also have loved to hear from men who dated dangerous women. That’s what we’re hoping for and expecting for the new season. As someone who left an abusive relationship long ago, I wanted to hear from more Actual abuse victims.
The popular podcast announced via Twitter that they'll be returning for not one, but two more seasons in the coming. Most of the others are toxic relationships where it's clear the person telling the story also played a role in what happened. There's really exciting news coming from the world of Serial today. Only 3-4 of the 10 episodes could be considered people with truly criminal behavior: a man who threatens to do harm to a pet and calls a 2-year-old "sexy," a man who gives weird vibes on a first date and ends up as a murderer later on, and 2 men who commit assault.
